Sawpit was a band from Japan that played some truly original hardcore punk. This is equal parts Inside Out and Fugazi, pop punk and hardcore, aggression and raw emotion. The thing that makes Sawpit stand above many other bands of this style is their ability to seamlessly integrate all of these influences without it seeming contrived or confused. These four songs each stand well on their own while managing to still fit in with the rest of Sawpit’s output.
