JARED GRABB (SCOUTS HONOR ANGRY GODS, THE FORECAST is a singer-songwriter hailing from the mid-sized Midwestern city of Peoria, Illinois. GRABB has been performing under his own name since 2001 and occasionally collaborating with his former college roommate, Thomas Satterfield (SCOUTS HONOR, TINA SPARKLE, The AMAZING KILL-O-WATTS), since 2003. These collaborations were the foundation of the rock band SCOUTS HONOR (No Idea Records/Thinker Thought Records), leading to the creation of two distinctly Midwestern punk albums, 'Roots in Gasoline' and 'I am the Dust.'After the release of GRABBs 4th album, the intimate Masters, Satterfield, Anderson, and GRABB returned to the subject matter of Midwestern life in Peoria. They mined the history of their hometown for source material. As stories and music began to emerge, the trio brought in BRETT CONLIN (DEAD END LIGHTS) on lead guitar to fill out the arrangements. In the Fall of 2019, the 4-piece JARED GRABB AMONG THIEVES entered The ER Studio in Nashville, TN with longtime friend J.W. Robb, another former member of Scouts Honor. The mixing was then done by the Mississippi recording artist Andrew Bryant (Last Chance Records, WATER LIARS) before being sent off for mastering by Chicago’s Carl Saff (BONNIE 'PRINCE' BILLY, JOHN CALVIN ABNEY, RVIVR). The finished album of Among Thieves is the fifth released under JARED GRABB’s name. It is a consistent and concise concept record exploring America’s past through the lens of the present with layers of meaning that prove to be fulfilling for repeated listens.
