The full-length self titled album by the unique trio comprising Yea Big on gamelan bells and bass clarinet, Nate Hahn (Ohtis) on pedal steel, and Holliger on sp202 sampler, bass, and synths promise to elevate their musical journey to new levels. The album's first half carries forward the signature style of the trio, blending downtempo psychedelic Polynesian tropical loops with ambient cosmic country. This fusion creates a vibe that is perfect for basking in the sun, with hints of Hawaiian jazz that could even inspire Uncle Steve to embark on a boating adventure. Truly groovy in places but the party ends eventually around the half mark like morning fog being burnt away by an early sun. The latter part of the album is an expansion of their EP Glow, featuring fresh remasters and a more nuanced organic sound. The new tracks land somewhere between Western Americana and a cinematic score. The live recording of "Quietly" captures an all acoustic arrangement with gamelan bells, along with bowed and hammered guitars, performed in a downtown bookstore. The album culminates with a captivating live performance of "I don't know how much longer I can hold this II" with Nate Hahn, recorded in Champaign, IL.
