L to the A, C to the A: Will Schwartz, PSYCHIC FRIEND’s leading man, wrote the tunes that would become their debut album, My Rocks Are Dreams expressly for the project. That seems a kind of mild statement, but considering Schwartz's musical work ethic, it's a valid point. Not only has he been a founding member of indie tour-de-force, IMPERIAL TEEN for the past 15 years, he also owns and operates another notable incarnation, HEY WILLPOWER. PSYCHIC FRIEND proves yet another addition in the noteworthy roster of indie greatness from Dangerbird Records following the recent tracks of such outfits as SILVERSUN PICKUOS, FITZ & THE TANTRUMS, SEA WOLF, MINUS THE BEAR and BUTCH WALKER, to name a few. Of the signing, Schwartz says, I wanted to be on Dangerbird since the point of when it seemed like the album was coming together. I thought it would fit in nicely with the roster and there seemed to be a sense of a community of artists in Los Angeles. It's been a dream ever since.
