Filmed before a live audience in London in 1968, The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus centers on the original line up of The Rolling Stones, who serve as both the show’s hosts and featured attraction. The program also includes extraordinary performances by THE WHO, JETHRO TULL, TAJ MAHAL, MARIANNE FAITHFULL, YOKO ONO, and THE DIRTY MAC, a ‘supergroup’ comprised of ERIC CLAPTON, KEITH RICHARDS, MITCH MITCHELL of The JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE, and JOHN LENNON. The Expanded Soundtrack will include the original 19 tracks, as well as 9 bonus tracks captured on set. The entire soundtrack received a new mix and 192k 24bit HD restoration. Among the bonus material: performances by the late concert pianist Julius Katchen, 3 songs by TAJ MAHAL and 3 recordings of THE DIRTY MAC’s including their never before heard version of The BEATLES classic, “Revolution.” Available for the first time on Vinyl, ABKCO is releasing the soundtrack in a 3 LP package as well as on 2CDs and all digital formats.
