Privately released in 1982, "Roadkill" is the sole LP of NYC's Capital Punishment- a band made up of four rowdy teenage friends who would all go on to become quite successful in various fields in and outside of music (finance/music production, academics, law, and acting...the drummer is a teenage Ben Stiller- yes, that Ben Stiller!) A record that really needs to be heard to be believed, "Roadkill" is a fearlessly DIY punk record, full of experimentation, guile, and a healthy dose of teenage tomfoolery. Recommended for fans of Chrome, DEVO, The Residents / Ralph Records, Flipper, Frank Zappa, New York no wave, and all former (or current) teenage misfits, miscreants, and weirdos.
