This was the first Berry studio LP to crack the U.S. Billboard album chart — a long-overdue breakthrough that signaled just how deeply his sound had taken hold. The album is stacked with hits, featuring four of Berry's five charting singles from 1964: the cruising, grin-inducing "No Particular Place to Go," the effortlessly cool "You Never Can Tell," the runaway-train energy of "Promised Land," and the bright, melodic "Little Marie." Decades later, "You Never Can Tell" would achieve a second life — and iconic status — when John Travolta and Uma Thurman danced to it in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction.
