David Tibet & Andrew Liles breath new life into vintage songs, ‘Why Did the Fox Bark / The Heart Full of Eyes’, and ‘And Onto PickNickMagick/Those Flowers Grow’ sure to pique interests of olde heads and maybe some new ones too. Tibet plays the role of narrator and soothsayer over a glyding bed of bell chimes and keys going more stately, magisterial and discordant across the front, whereas the back plays down the instrumental on a velvety almost jazz noir tip whilst Tibet’s apocalyptic declarations escalate with furious intensity.
