Faits D’Hiver is a French project nourished by the dark, vibrant sounds of the 80s. Somewhere between darkwave, coldwave and punk, Faits D’Hiver offers sounds with a radical aesthetic, both raw and melancholic. Carried by hypnotic rhythms, icy synthetic loops, and sharp-edged lyrics, ‘Le Mensonge règne’ is a cold, electric drift through the heart of night. It begins in the shadows, sinks in for a moment, then soars. The textures become denser, the synths get creased, the pace twirls, and then slows, sliding towards a steamy end where the synths still whisper! An outstanding mini-album, that makes you longing for more!
