Lone Assembly- Knots & Chains

Label: Metropolis

Released 10/2/2026

Knots & Chains is the debut full-length album from Swiss quartet Lone Assembly, one of the most exciting emerging acts in contemporary darkwave and post-punk. Blending romantic synth-pop, classic new wave, and melancholic post-punk with cinematic atmosphere, the band has rapidly built an enthusiastic European following through extensive touring and the critical acclaim surrounding their 2024 debut EP. Expanding on the foundations established by their earlier work, Knots & Chains delivers richly layered songwriting that balances shimmering synthesizers, emotive vocals, and driving rhythms with introspective lyricism and dark romanticism. The result is an album that comfortably bridges classic influences with a fresh contemporary perspective, appealing equally to longtime fans of synth-pop and modern post-punk. Pressed on vinyl, Knots & Chains marks an impressive debut from a band quickly establishing itself as one of Europe's leading new voices in dark alternative music.
