Debut studio album from the New York Dolls. New York Dolls was originally recorded in 1973 and its raunchy hard rock sound help set the stage for punk rock's emergence during the later half of the decade. It was a pivotal influence on many of the bands that were to come, including the Ramones, Kiss, the Sex Pistols, The Damned. Critics have argued that it is both the quintessential proto-punk album and the definitive glam rock record. Eleven tracks in all.
