This album SOUNDS LIKE lungs full of grief expelling, eyes and guts wide open, yearning to be one with animals and nature, metal-flange-goth-grunge-punk-ass-rock-and-roll, loaded with inimitable vocal melodies and harmonies, Donna Dresch’s soaring guitaring that grabs you by the heart, so many other rad guitar parts all orchestrally intertwining, ass-thumping bass, and drumming mastery that deserves its own Grammys. The songs are wildly dynamic, compelling, moving, and just… BIG, in feeling and sound. If you’re already familiar with Team Dresch’s now widely considered classic emo-queercore sound, this record will give you some of that, but it’s going to take you on some unexpected twisted turns as well.
