It was compiled by Laurence Cane-Honeysett, who also wrote the linernotes. This double album, focusses on the Beverley's catalogue and includes some of the finest and most popular Jamaican recordings from a fascinating period during which rock steady became established as the island’s national sound. The 28 tracks here provide ample evidence of the superior quality of Beverley’s output from this time. Some of Beverley's finest are featured on this compilation; as there are The Maytals, George Dekker, Derrick Morgan & more.
